Even though it is the smallest room in the house, the bathroom is big on recyclables and the SHOROC partner councils are asking residents to recycle their empty bathroom containers with a new campaign ‘You can recycle more than you think’ as part of National Recycling Week 9-15 November.
Join a growing number of businesses that are wasting less and saving more.
The Recycling at Work project provides free waste assessments to businesses across the region.
The SHOROC councils and Kimbriki congratulate our residents of Manly, Mosman, Pittwater and Warringah on being great recyclers, but there’s still more to do.
Avoiding waste, sustainably managing the waste that is generated and recovering resources from waste are important to our community and environment. So much so that the four SHOROC councils – Manly, Mosman, Pittwater and Warringah – have developed Too Good to Waste – a regional waste avoidance and resource recovery strategy.
Two major initiatives are in the planning to maximise resource recovery and minimise waste going to landfill: Sustainable infrastructure solutions; and New regional household waste service
The strategy has a range of priorities and actions that councils, Kimbriki and SHOROC can take to help us all take responsibility for our waste, and do our part to reduce, reuse and recycle and rethink our decisions.
