Mona Vale Road

Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is proposing upgrades to Mona Vale Road from McCarrs Creek Road, Terrey Hills to Powder Works Road, Ingleside. This section is 3.3 kilometres in length and suffers traffic congestion in peak periods. The proposed upgrades are intended to increase carrying capacity, and reduce travel times and congestion.

The SHOROC councils have been calling for many years for Mona Vale Road to be upgraded to a divided dual-lane carriageway for its full length through to Mona Vale to improve safety and efficiency.

RMS is proposing three feasible route options for the 3.3km section currently being considered, all including a four lane divided road. The community is invited to provide comment and feedback on the options until Friday 7 December 2012.

Design options and a community update can be viewed online.

The options will also be on display at the following venues with RMS experts available to answer any questions:

  • Belrose Supacenta, cnr Forest Way and Mona Vale Rd, Belrose on Thursday, 8 November, 3-8pm
  • Centro Warriewood, 12 Jackson Rd, Warriewood on Thursday, 15 November from 3-8pm
