A public forum to discuss the full review of the NSW planning system will be held in Brookvale next week by the NSW Government as part of its two month ‘listening tour’ across NSW.
The NSW Government is re-writing the state’s main town and country planning law, known as the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, and is inviting public comments as part of the first stage of the review.
The Review is being led by former NSW Environment Minister, Tim Moore, and former NSW Public Works Minister, Ron Dyer, with the tour to include community forums in at least 43 locations across NSW.
The Planning Review website describes the forums as a key element of what is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for members of the public to have their say about a planning system which affects every parcel of land in the State, with the Review Chairs are encouraging as many people as possible to attend the sessions.
The sessions in Brookvale are on Wednesday 9 November:
- Session 1: 3-5pm at Manly Leagues Club, 563 Pittwater Rd Brookvale
- Session 2: 6-7.30pm at Manly Leagues Club, 563 Pittwater Rd Brookvale
No registration of RSVP is required to attend any of the forums.
A full list of dates and locations of the community forums in NSW are available at www.planningreview.nsw.gov.au.
