The Mayor of Manly, Jean Hay AM, Mayor of Warringah, Michael Regan and the Mayor of Pittwater, Jacqueline Townsend are hosting a Gala Dinner to raise funds to fight against the world’s largest Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone and to assist the victims of the Nepal earthquake.
Sierra Leone continues to struggle against a horrific Ebola crisis and Nepal has been devastated by multiple earthquakes, the two great emergencies overwhelming the limited resources of small nations already dealing with poverty and over-stretched infrastructure.
The Mayors’ Gala Dinner will be held on 4 July from 7pm at the International College of Management Sydney at St Patrick’s Estate, Manly.
Head chef and owner of Out of Africa Restaurant in Manly, Hassan M’Souli, will create an African five-course degustation feast to enjoy and our celebrity host Wendy Harmer will oversee a silent auction and raffle items generously donated by local artists and businesses.
Tickets are $150 per person including a wonderful night of African food and entertainment.
Proceeds of the evening will be directed towards recovery from the outbreak of Ebola in Africa and the recent earthquake in Nepal. Action Aid Australia has been selected as the beneficiary to ensure funding reaches those most affected.
