Warringah Council, on behalf of NSW Planning & Environment, is preparing a Precinct Structure Plan for the area around the new Northern Beaches Hospital to guide future development.
It will identify the most appropriate future land-use mix for the area, taking into account environmental, social, economic, traffic, transport and accessibility issues. It will also look at the integration of the new hospital into Frenchs Forest.
The area has been identified as a specialist precinct by the NSW Government because of the potential for economic opportunities associated with the development of the new hospital.
Development of the Hospital Precinct Structure Plan is being coordinated by Warringah Council, with support from NSW Planning and Environment. To prepare the Plan, council has engaged consultants Hames Sharley, who will work with Council and the community over the next 12 months.
Feedback is currently being sought on how the area around the hospital should look in 10 to 20 years. There are lots of ways to be involved in the project and for more information go to YourSay Warringah.
