Pittwater Council is supporting the inaugural Sustainable Living Expo hosted by Climate Action Pittwater on Sunday 10 October.
The Expo is on all day from 9am until 4.30pm at Mona Vale Memorial Hall Park Street in support of 350.org 10/10/10 – the Global Day for Climate Action.
Organiser Tony Edye from Climate Action Pittwater said the Expo would feature nearly 30 displays and speakers on a range of sustainability issues, products and services aimed at helping residents live a more sustainable life.
Director of Earth Trust and Al Gore Project Ambassador Brynnie Goodwill will introduce and wrap up the day’s activities. Ms Goodwill has a wealth of knowledge in the field of sustainability and works with OzGreen Donor Network seeking private and corporate sponsorships to help build sustainability hubs across the country.
Pittwater Council’s Mayor Cr Harvey Rose paid tribute to Climate Action Pittwater for organising the event. “This group of concerned residents are showing in a very practical way how things can be done more sustainably, ranging from shopping through to renovating,” he said.
